Raised in Shanghai with exposure to Western culture from a very young age, Cecilia grew up constantly fascinated by varying cultures and languages. After finishing her Bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel hill in political science and peace, war, and defense, she pursued her passion in languages and received a Master’s degree at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in Translation and Localization Management.
Cecilia joined Accent on Languages as an interpreting project manager. She is also a freelance Chinese and Japanese linguist. To her, localization is more than just translating words to words, but bridging cultures with cultures, contributing to a greater cause of globalization.
On her days off, Cecilia’s favorite thing to do is enjoy a good book with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc or Blonde Ale. Ask her about her favorite book or alcoholic drink and you won’t hear the end of it.
